As we see the name "Outpost" used more and more in today's times...the use of the name and the expectations of a true "Outpost" can be misunderstood.
Outpost is defined by Google.com as:
OUTPOST /'out,post/ noun
1. A small military camp or position at some distance from the main force, used especially as a guard against surprise attack. (Tomoka State Park & Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area's have both been used in battle as an "Outpost" for attacks)
2. A remote part of a country or empire. (Both locations are located in a remote part of the country, untouched by development, once known as an empire for indians and earlier settlers.)
